“developing  A CREATIVE STUDENT COMMUNITY FOR SUSTAINABLE TROPICAL ARCHITECTURE WORLD”

Established in 2000, the Architecture Program at Universiti Putra Malaysia started with the Bachelor of Design (Architecture). The program had been reviewed several times to ensure that the curriculum is up to date and meeting the requirement of the current market. Focussing on the issue of ‘green’ design especially for tropical countries, the department has groups of expertise in various areas either technical or philosophical to support the learning process in the program. Currently, the Architecture Department offers Bachelor Of Science in Architecture (3 ½ years) and Master of Architecture (2 years) Programs which have been accredited by Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia. Besides that, the Department is also offering research based programs for Master of Science (Architecture) and Doctor of Philosophy (Architecture).
